The Mira Costa Girls Volleyball team traveled to Redondo Union High School on Oct 16 in a league match. The Mustangs lost the game in 4 sets 18-25, 25-22, 20-25, and 25-16.
The girls suffered two tough losses in the first two sets, however, they fought back and found a way to win the third set, but Redondo’s power overcame the girls in a disappointing 3-1 loss.
“We went into the match really hyped and we all trust each other,” senior outside hitter Sam Sestanovich said. “We played better than we have been recently and kept up with them the first two and then lost. The third game really changed our morality and we went in to the fourth with lots of confidence, but we couldn’t pull out the win.”
The girls will play at Palos Verdes on October 21 at 5:15 pm.
