The Mira Costa High School girls volleyball team travelled to Palos Verdes High School for a conference match on Oct 21, defeating the Sea Kings in three sets.
Senior outside hitter Skylar Caputo had 10 aces for the Mustangs. Junior libero, Emma Smith, had 10 digs and both senior middle blocker Katie Rethmeyer and junior outside hitter Alexa Underwood had 6 kills to assist in the team’s victory.
“I was very proud of the way the girls kept up the energy throughout the entire match,” coach Hayley Blanchard said. “Everyone is playing their part and I am excited at the possibilities for the rest of the season.”
The Mustang’s next game is against Peninsula High School, for a home conference match at 5:15 on Thursday, Oct 23.
