In the last home game of the season, the Mustangs finished strong, defeating Morningside 49-19.
After a two game losing streak, Costa started strong, leading 35-19 by the third quarter. Costa defense held the struggling Monarchs to only 19 points and allowed 6 points during the 4th quarter. In the last home game of the season the Mustangs battled Morningside coming out on top 49-19. Mira Costa dominated every aspect of the game, but most prominent was Tre Searcy’s three touchdown performance.
“We were facing a different offense so we need different approach.” Defensive Coordinator Ray Lee said. “We blitzed more and that really helped us stop their offense.”
