The Mira Costa girls volleyball team went head to head with the Redondo Union Sea Hawks in their final league match on Tuesday, November 4. They lost the match in five sets, with scores of 25-18, 25-23, 11-25, 21-25, and 12-15.
Senior outside hitter Skylar Caputo led the team with 12 kills, sophomore outside hitter Alexa Underwood recorded eight kills and couple of game changing blocks, and junior libero Emma Smith recorded 12 digs.
“This definitely was not the outcome we wanted, but what we can do right now is pick our heads up, move on to the next match and play our hearts out to play Redondo again,” Caputo said. “We have a lot of confidence in this team and so much potential. We need to let this match go and focus on hanging a CIF banner in the gym once again.”
Costa finished Bay League with a record of 9-2.
