Mira Costa boys continued their winning streak against Hawthorne on Dec 11, winning 1-0.
During the first half the team had more control of the ball. They moved around the field easily, had more shots on the goal, and were able to keep the ball in their possession. During the second half, Senior Ricky Angiolini scored, resulting in Costa leading for the rest of the game.
“We played sloppy offensively, mostly because the field was awful,” senior Caley Berney said, “However, our defense was very strong and did well considering the circumstances. The game wasn’t played well but we won and that’s good.”
Their next game is Friday the 12th against Windward.
