Costa’s varsity girls’ volleyball team took on Inglewood at Fisher Gymnasium this past Wednesday. The Mustangs are second in Bay League, making every game crucial in their efforts to catch Redondo.
Luckily, this match wasn’t much of a contest. The Inglewood Sentinels were demolished in three sets, 25-3, 25-4, and 25-7.
Using mainly their secondary team, the girls had complete control over the game – the few points Inglewood managed to score were due to minor Costa mistakes and a few nice plays.
The girls impressive season concludes on Nov. 4, as the Mustangs take on their arch rival, the Redondo Union Seahawks. The stakes are high: the winner of the game will win the Bay League title.
