The Mustangs hosted a rival that wasn’t the Redondo Union Seahawks: the Palos Verdes Sea Kings. A game that remained tight until the fourth quarter ended in Costa’s favor, as the boys shot their way to a 67-61 victory.
“We stuck together and pumped each other up,” said junior Quenton Jackson. “We just have to keep it up, keep up our defense and stay together.”
This Bay League victory kept Mira Costa in the running for a potential top spot, currently held by Redondo Union.
