The Costa Girls Varsity proved their dominance in their first win of the season against Huntington at home, defeating Huntington 89-81, however the Boys continued to struggle, losing 106-64.
The boys lost several key players to last years senior class, which has hurt them significantly this season. This year has been difficult for the boys while the girls have excelled.
“The girls are strong this year, but the boys are struggling,” junior Sydney Hong said. “We are practicing hard every morning and looking to win more meets heading into Bay League.”
Their next game will be in the South Bay Invitational Preliminaries on March 24 and March 25.
