The Costa boys Varsity swim team secured their 2nd win of the season against West Torrance at home, however the girls failed to harness their 3rd win of the season. The team has proved their ability to win and to perform in a 118-47 win for the boys and an 89-81 loss for the girls.
The girls did not perform to their potential, but the boys exposed their dominance in the late stride to the upcoming Bay League season.
“This year I think that our team has a lot of potential and we finally showed it…” Junior Mikey Portis said. “I’d say some of our individual events, aside from freestyle, are some of our weaker events and I definitely think we have strong relay teams.”
Their next game will be against Peninsula in their first game of Bay league.
