Mustangs add sixth win against Crossroads

The Costa tennis team took to the court on Monday, Sept. 28 for the first time in five days, beating Crossroads High School at Costa. With the win, the girls improved their overall record to 6-1 in their best match to date.

Senior Taylor Mahr and sophomore Maegan Manasse led the way in the Mustangs 16-2 win. Mahr and Manasse were the top singles players winning, all sixth of their matches played on the day. With Manasse’s three wins, she improves her personal record to 18-0 without a single loss this season.

The girls doubles tandems powered the Mustangs to their win on Monday with all three partnerships winning every match. The combined score of 9-0 for the doubles section sets a season high.

On Tuesday, Sept. 29, the Mustangs travel to Newport Harbor High School at 3 pm to continue their seasons success.
