The Mira Costa Varsity Swim team earned their first win of the season against South Torrance High school in a home game on March 31. The boys won 87-83 and the girls won 103-67.
Costa’s early morning practices have benefitted the team to understand work ethic and dedication. Their hard work finally paid off in a satisfying win.
“The season is going well. Swimmers are getting used to our new coach, Eliza, and her ways of coaching,” junior swimmer Sydney Hong said. “Some problems have probably been that some swimmers think our coach has a lack of knowledge about swim. For example she doesn’t correct our stroke technique and puts people in their weakest events”
The swim team will swim against West Torrance high school on April 2 at home.
