The badminton team started the year out strong, winning a decisive 20-1 victory in their season debut against Loara High School, confirming Mira Costa’s badminton presence for the year.
The Mustangs were dominant in their victory at Loara High School. The team worked together in the doubles’ games, and had outstanding individual efforts in the singles’ games, Sam Shwartz making the biggest impact, and playing with the most energy. The team plays Gahr High School next at home at the Manhattan Beach Badminton Club.
“I was impressed with our win, it was solid and showed that we can win matches decisively,” Head Coach Rocky Wilson said.
