Girls lacrosse defeats El Segundo 10-6

Led by sophomore attack Kelli Mark‘s two goals, girls lacrosse beat El Segundo High School on Friday April 17 in a 7:00 home game. The game with a final score of 10-6.

The girls (6-7-1) were able to successfully complete passes and switch the field throughout the entire game. The goals from Mark helped the team keep the lead despite their struggle to stay goal side on defense.

“During the first half, we did a really good job with our transitions from defense to offense,” Mark said. “We put in a lot of effort and it really paid off.”

Girls lacrosse will take on Chaminade College Preparatory High School Public School on Wednesday April 22 in a 7 home game. According to junior Carly Gaspari, Chaminade has done well this season and it will be hard game for both teams.

“We will prepare for the game against Chaminade like we do for any other game,” Mark said. “Hopefully we will be able to work well together and get the results we need.”
