Mira Costa girls softball beat Morningside High school 25-0 on Friday, maintaining a 4-0 Bay League record.
The Mustangs started off strong with 9 runs in the first inning and 6 runs in both the second and third. Costa relaxed in the fourth inning scoring 4 runs and none in the fifth inning which was the last inning due to the mercy rule.
“We started off with great momentum and kept it going throughout the rest of the game,” senior outfielder Samantha Matson said.
The Mustangs have an overall record of 15-5 and a Bay League record of 4-0. They play Redondo Union on Wednesday April 29.
