With three goals by senior attack Hannah Dinelli‘s, girls lacrosse was able to defeat Penn on Friday in a 7:00 home game. The game ended with a final score was 8-7.
Girls lacrosse (7-7) did well with marking on defense and having strong transitions from offense to defense. Junior center Kayla Sugimoto was able to switch the point of attack and Dinelli worked hard to finish opportunities.
“Hannah scored a majority of our goals and was a playmaker in most of our offensive attacks,” sophomore attack Emma Glozman said. “She was a key player throughout the entire game.”
Costa will take on Redondo on Friday in a 4:00 away game in its second to last season game. Girls lacrosse won’t know if it has a spot in CIF until Saturday or Sunday.
“I’m expecting a very physical and challenging game,” Sugimoto said. “Redondo has a very talented team but I think we can put up a fight and hopefully get the win.”
