The Mira Costa Baseball Team faced off against Morningside High School winning the game 18-1. The Mustangs now have an overall record of 20-7 and have had a six game winning streak.
The Mustangs won the game Junior Reese Alexiades scored three runs for the Mustangs. Senior Adam Reinart pitched all seven innings for the Mustangs. The Mustangs immediately took the lead and stayed ahead for all 7 innings.
“We played well I’m excited we have been able to keep up our streak,” Alexiades said. “We have been playing well as a team and really working hard.”
The Mustangs will play Serra High School (13-12) this Saturday at Serra. The Mustangs have been playing hard and hope to keep up their winning streak as well as earn an overall record of 21-7 by earning a win against Serra.
“We are really playing well recently,” Alexiades said. “Of course we still have things to work on but we have really been playing well together.”
