Mira Costa’s Associated Student Body will host the 2015 Prom on June 6 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley.
This year’s junior class secretary and treasurer Molly Dvorkin, junior class vice president Rachel Kay and junior class president Hanna Watkins helped find the venue, come up with a theme, and figure out decorations. The dance will have a variety of activities including dancing, a photo booth and casino games.
“I’m so excited to have the opportunity to plan prom,” Dvorkin said. “It’s a huge undertaking, but I am confident that the junior class officers are going to make it a night to remember.”
ASB will host a fashion show for Men’s Warehouse during lunch on Tuesday. It will showcase a variety of tuxedos, and all boys at Costa will receive a 40-percent discount if they choose to rent a tuxedo for prom through Men’s Warehouse.
“The fashion show will be a great way to kick off prom,” Watkins said. “It will be very entertaining to watch ASB’s finest strut down the catwalk in their tuxedos.”
The theme and ticket prices will be announced closer to prom.
“I can’t wait to celebrate the end of school with all of my friends,” Watkins said. “It will be a stress-free night full of fun.”
