Senior CJ Coleman and junior Nick Harry competed as individuals in the California Interscholastic Federation Southern California Regionals on May 11 at Skylinks Golf Course. Coleman placed eighth overall and Harry placed ninth.
Coleman finished with a score of 74 (+2), as he was able to make key putts, but missed a seven-person playoff by one stroke, preventing him from advancing to the next round of CIF.
“I was happy with the performance Nick and I put-up,” said Coleman. “Even though we aren’t moving on, I’m proud of what we have accomplished, both as individuals and as a team.”
Harry posted a score of 75 (+3) and missed the playoff holes by two strokes. Harry was eliminated despite his phenomenal short game on the green and powerful drives along the fairway.
“In the final round, I was hitting the ball right where I wanted it and was able to sink everything inside 15 feet,” said Harry. “We all had solid play; it just wasn’t enough to move on.
