The Mira Costa girls tennis team won its third match of the season against Palisades at Costa yesterday. So far this season, Costa is, 3-0 overall, and has been dominating throughout the season.
According to junior Morgan Kelly the Mustangs are determined to continue their winning streak. They are practicing extremely hard, and they work well together as a team. According to junior Jacky Soliman, Kelly stood out in yesterday’s game, as she played extremely well and contributed to Mira Costa’s victory.
“I believe every member of our team played well, but Kelly clearly trumped her opponents,” Soliman said. “She is a vital player on our team and does well not only in games but also in practice.”
The future for Costa’s tennis team looks extremely bright, as the team is undefeated this season and has won every match by a large margin. The next match is against Golden State on Friday at Stanford University.
“This year’s girls tennis team has proven we are full of talent. ” sophomore Maya Serota said, “I believe our future is very bright as our team puts in a lot of effort at practices and it pays off during the matches.”
