The Mira Costa girls golf team beat Torrance on Thursday in its fifth match of the season, 210-269, at Los Verdes golf course. The Mustangs are currently undefeated, sporting a 5-0 record.
The match against Torrance was tough, but Costa managed to pull off a win. All the girls played well and stepped up their performance to beat Torrance. Senior Briana Andrade was the top performer, as she shot the best score.
“I am very proud of everyone that played today,” said Andrade. “We really stepped it up as a team to beat Torrance.”
On Friday, the Mustangs played their next match in the South Bay Girls Classic tournament at Los Verdes golf course.
“This will be a very tough match,” said junior Lexi Nielson. “We will have to pick up our game and show theses other teams what we can do.”
