Today at Alondra golf course, the Mira Costa girls golf team pulled out a victory against West Torrance, winning 204-239.
The Mustangs defeated West Torrance High School’s team for the second year in a row. The top performers in this game were junior Lexi Nielsen and sophomore Phoebe Gunn.
“West was a great team to play against today, and Costa keeps its undefeated title,” said Nielsen. “Gunn did an excellent job chipping in for eagle today.”
The Mustangs are now undefeated with an impressive record of 7-0. Their next play is the Rainbow Sandals tournament in San Clemente on Sept. 25.
We are really excited to play against and hopefully beat the Rainbow Sandals,” senior Marni Murez said. “We feel confident that we are going to do well as a team.”
