After the rain had delayed the girls tennis practices for two consecutive days, the Mustangs got back on the court on Oct. 7, traveling to West High School and improving their overall record to 8-2 and their Bay League record to 2-0 with their win Thursday.
The Mustangs won by a score of 14-4, thanks in large part to sophomores Maegan Manasse and Ava Klein. Manasse won all three of her matches, 6-0, while Klein won with scores of 6-1, 6-1, and 6-0. Klein started in the singles section of the match for the first time. For the first nine matches, she played doubles with junior Erin Murphy.
The girls play on Oct. 12 at home against Peninsula at 3 p.m, hoping to add more Bay League wins.
