Girls tennis wins against Campbell High School

Yesterday, the Mira Costa girls tennis team played its tenth match of the season, defeating Campbell High School, 10-8, in a home game.

Junior doubles players Katarina Draskovic and Isabella Draskovic dominated their matches, winning both of their games 6-0. According to freshman tennis player Bella Buchta, their 6-0 victories boosted the spirit of the the team and made every player determined to win.

“Both my sister and I played really well and I am proud that both of our games were 6-0,” Katarina Draskovic said.

The Mustangs next match is another home game against Santa Monica High School at 3 p.m. today. So far this season Costa is 9-1 overall and is undefeated in bay league, 3-0.

“I am really impressed with how things are going this season.” freshman tennis player Lindsay Geise said. “I think we will play very well tomorrow and beat the Santa Monica tennis team.”
