Yesterday, the Mira Costa girls tennis team played its fourth Bay League match of the season and defeated Palos Verdes at Palos Verdes High School, 15-3.
The top performer of the day was junior singles player Amy Gaal. She won both of her games 6-0. Other top players were doubles players junior Jacky Soliman and her partner junior Maddie Giese, who won both of their matches 6-2.
“All of my teammates played really well and our coach was really proud with how well we played today,” Gaal said.
The Mustangs’ next game is against Brentwood at Brentwood High School on Monday. Costa’s tennis team is currently undefeated in Bay League, 4-0, and is 11-1 overall.
“Our tennis team this year has a lot of skill and we will do our best against Brentwood on Monday,” junior tennis player Lena Nagy said. “We have been putting in a lot of effort in practice and it definitely pays off in our matches.”
