Associated Student Body announces recount of 2015 Homecoming Court

Mira Costa Associated Student Body Activities Director Lisa Claypoole announced that there will be a recasting of votes for the 2015 Homecoming Court on October 1 before lunch.

The cause for the recount was that the names of two nominees were left off of the ballot. Furthermore, some classes did not get to vote because teachers did not pass out the ballots. As a result, juniors and seniors will have the opportunity to vote tomorrow before school, during lunch, or after school in room 43 through ballots.

“A recount was the method administration thought would be the most efficient,” ASB sophomore president Keeli Hartley said. “With that in mind there’s not much that could have been done to prevent the delay of the announcement for Homecoming Court.”
