Mira Costa’s boys basketball team destroyed Pacific Hills High School 91-22 in an El Segundo Tournament game at El Segundo High School on Monday. Senior forward Quenton Jackson and sophomore guard Morgan Clark scored over 20 points in leading the Mustangs to victory.
Clark went 8-13 from the three point line, and collected 24 total points. He made his first 8 of 9 three point shots. According to junior guard Ryan White, Morgan got himself into good positions to shoot.
“Morgan got down the court fast and set up well, which allowed him to get a lot of scoring opportunities,” White said.
The Mustangs move to 5-0 overall, and will next play El Segundo on Wednesday at El Segundo in the El Segundo Tournament. According to sophomore guard Bobby Barkley, the team will look to continue its success by repeating the process they have taken every game.
“We will come out doing the same thing as always,” Barkley said. “As long as we can execute our chances I think we have a good chance to win.”
