Java Man local cafe presents delicious blends

This holiday season, Java Man, Hermosa Beach’s local cafe, should be a part of every person’s daily grind, carrying deliciously concocted coffees that will spice up the holiday season.

For this special time of the year, Java Man has launched three carefully curated drinks for its devoted customers, all which contain coffee. A peppermint mocha, a gingerbread latte, and an eggnog latte are all limited edition drinks far different than your typical PSL.

Java Man is Hermosa Beach’s oldest coffee shop, especially unique with a dessert bar, and is nothing like an average Starbucks, as its original building is from the 1920’s. For this special holiday time, Java Man features limited edition drinks for its customers.

Java Man also supports local artists by selling art made by south bay residents. They switch out the art every month, providing variety for customers as well as opportunity for locals. The small business sells all homemade food, specializing in delicious muffins, breads, sweets,burritos, sandwiches, paninis, and soups. This locally-loved hangout sets out to bring a lot to the table, including their holiday winter line for hot coffees.Java Man is currently selling a gingerbread latte, a peppermint mocha latte, and an eggnog latte, all which exceed the flavor of standard businesses.

The gingerbread latte contains a strong warmth, with underlying spices that seem a bit heavy-handed. This drink is perfect for someone who likes to incorporate cinnamon or other robust flavors, but seems too heavily concentrated in the adding of undertones. However, this drink perfectly pairs with a Java Man’s “Morning Glory” muffin, as it’s healthy, nutty neutrality balances out how powerfully sweet this drink is.

For something bold, different, and equally delicious, the Peppermint Mocha is right up that candy-cane lane. This holiday drink is perfectly balanced with light flavoring and a warm roast of coffee beans. It isn’t overbearingly peppermint, but instead the refreshing twist  lingers lightly on the tongue after a sip. The cozy, bitter taste from the coffee marked with the light sweetening and strengthening from the mocha flavor make this drink top notch. This drink isn’t too sugary, and it is perfect for coffee lovers.

A unique drink is needed for a unique hipster, who will be beyond content with the extremely original eggnog latte. This eggnog latte has a dominant flavor of eggnog, more so than the coffee it is blended with, topped with a light foam. This super seasonal drink contains a smooth, lasting flavor that could be perfect for walking on the green belt or relaxing in a blanket during winter break. However, the flavor is strong and cannot be ignored. If Java Man created a larger proportion of coffee to eggnog, the drink would be perfected. This winter beverage should be praised for its creativity that it brings to the table and the accurate eggnog flavor.

Java man’s employees were also kind enough to include a complimentary muffin of choice, the Morning Glory Muffin. This muffin has a sweet base with additional, healthy toppings, like seeds. This muffin is hearty but not so much where it distracts from its optimal taste. The delicious muffin’s nutty flavor pairs with any drink.

Java Man’s coffees and food are a must-have this winter break, no matter the flavor. From these holiday beverages , to Java Man’s classic teas, taste buds will be satisfied at Java Man no matter what.
