A Manhattan Beach Target store operator received an anonymous threat via phone on Saturday at approximately 4:55 p.m. which entailed a robotic voice referencing a bomb in the building.

Manhattan Beach Police Department responded by interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence and bringing canine to the scene. According to MBPD Community Affairs Officer Stephanie Martin, the building has been cleared and MBPD will continue their investigation pertaining to the threat.

“We plan on continuing the investigation pertaining to these bomb threats with the goal of persecution,” Martin said. “Holding people accountable for their words and actions is needed more then ever now in this community.”
