Mira Costa choir director Mr. Hayden and some members of orchestra spent the afternoon of Wednesday, Feb. 10, delivering heartfelt messages to students and teachers all around the school campus in honor of  Valentine’s Day.

The messages were created by the Associated Student Body and performed by the choir and orchestra members.  ASB offered students the chance to send a musical message to whoever they wished on school grounds. The dispersal took place on Wednesday, where the messages were presented to both students and teachers, personalizing the banners and songs for each recipient. The money earned from the Valgrams goes to ASB and Choir to help fund the programs.

“Valgrams is a fantastic annual event at Mira Costa High School which is put forth by the students, the student government class, and the funds go to the ASB club,”  ASB director Mrs.Claypoole said.

The Valgrams were delivered throughout the day by the female and male Choir classes, with the help of saxophonists from Band. The group went to a myriad of classrooms all over campus and presented during the students’ classes.

“I really liked doing the Valgrams. It’s a really good way to relieve stress, especially in the middle of the year,” senior Tyler Morgan said.
