Mira Costa’s boys lacrosse was defeated 13-4 by number one ranked Loyola on Tuesday at home, in Costa’s first home loss of the season.
The game started off close in the first quarter, but as Loyola started scoring more, the Mustangs were unable to bring home the win. According to sophomore Zachary Horowitz, the team wasn’t able to dodge to the goal or pass the ball very well.
“Our defense did very well locking off certain players,” Horowitz said. “I think our offense did not do well though.”
The Mustangs, now 5-3 overall, will take on Dakota Ridge in a non-conference game at home on Thursday at 7 p.m. According to Horowitz, the team will be improving upon its mistakes.
“If we work on what we didn’t do well against Loyola, then we should win on Thursday,” Horowitz said.
