Mira Costa’s boys volleyball team swept rival Redondo Union High School on Thursday in three sets, winning 25-22, 25-13, 25-19.
Senior opposite Jackson Wedbush and senior outside hitter Roy McFarland led the way for the Mustangs as they cruised to their three victories. According to Wedbush it felt great to play well against a main rival.
“Feels great to come out and dominate over our biggest rival,” Wedbush said.
Mira Costa is now 13-3 overall and 4-1 in Bay League, and will next face Palos Verdes in a Bay League match on Tuesday at home. According to junior libero Will Taylor, the team will look to redeem its loss against the Sea Kings earlier this season.
“We lost last time, so this will be a good test and a competitive game,” Taylor said.
