The Mustangs girls tennis team hit the road Oct.14, beating Redondo Union High School in an important Bay League match. The win moves their record to 9-3 overall and 3-1 in the Bay League.
Sophomore Maegan Manasse continued her undefeated streak in the Mustangs 13-5 win. Manasse won all three matches by scores of 6-3, 6-0, and 6-0. Senior Taylor Mahr and sophomore Ava Klein each won a match 6-0.
Senior Laura Derian and sophomore Hanna McGuire led the way for the doubles. They won all three matches with scores 6-2, 6-2, 6-1. The senior-sophomore tandem has played exceptional tennis throughout the season.
The girls will pack their bags Thursday night for a two-day tournament in Palm Springs Oct.15. The Mustangs will play Palm Desert on Friday and Palm Springs on Saturday.
