Freshman Max Huggins competes in Golf Individual Finals in CIF

Mira Costa freshman Max Huggins competed in the Golf individual League Finals in a California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) match.

 

Harry had a rough start on the cource by shooting a bogey and a par shot. He ended up getting par on the next three holes but got two bogie shots later earning his a 74 for the day. According to Huggins, He could have performed better.

 

“Although I didn’t play the best today I came out and put in all of my effort,” Huggins said. “Some holes were very challenging for me but I managed to get par on many holes.

 

Costa is currently 12-3 overall and undefeated in Bay League at 8-0. The team’s next game is in the Team Divisionals in CIF on Monday. Huggins believes that the team has the potential to do well on Monday.

 

“Our team has the skill to go very far in CIF and we have been playing very well as the season has been progressing,” Huggins said. “I am very proud of this team and I know we will do very well on Monday’s match.”
