The girls tennis team lost, 12-6, to Palm Springs on Oct. 15 in Palm Springs. The loss brings the Mustangs’ record to 9-4 overall, but leaves their Bay League record at 3-1.
The Mustangs were led by sophomore Maegan Manasse in their 12-6 loss. Manasse remains undefeated, winning all three of her matches by scores of 6-0, 6-0, and 6-2. Senior Taylor Mahr won one of her three matches, with a score of 7-5.
Senior Laura Derian and sophomore Hanna McGuire maintained their mid-season dominance, winning two matches 7-5 and 6-4. Derian and McGuire stand as the Mustangs’ top doubles tandem.
The Mustangs will play a practice match Oct. 16 against Palm Springs before returning to Bay League competitions Oct. 19 when the girls travel to Palos Verdes at 2:30 p.m.
