The Mira Costa Mustangs water polo team suffered a loss against Los Alamitos Oct. 18 at home with a score 15-6. The Mustangs didn’t move the ball on offense and most of their shots deflected off of the crossbar.
Junior Ryan Koverman scored three goals, contributing half of the total Mustang scores. Senior Jake Miller added two goals and junior Justin Pratt scored one goal for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs record falls to 12-5 to with this loss. However, despite the loss, the Mira Costa Bay League record is unaffected and remains undefeated (3-0).
The Mustangs play again Oct. 19 against the rival Redondo Sea Hawks. As hosts, the Mustangs will try to continue their Bay League dominance.
