The girls tennis team returned to the court Oct. 25 to beat Harvard-Westlake High School. The win moved the Mustangs to 10-5 on the season and left them at 3-2 in the Bay League.
Senior Taylor Mahr and sophomores Maegan Manasse and Ava Klein led the Mustangs to a 72-68 win. Mahr, Manasse, and Klein combined for eight match wins, dominating the singles competition. The match was determined by the games won after a 9-9 draw.
Key doubles player Erin Murphy did not play due to her lower back injury. She hopes to get back on the court as soon as possible before the CIF play-offs begin.
The girls host West Torrance High School Oct. 26 at 3 p.m.
