The girls’ tennis team returned to the court on Oct. 27 to defeat Bishop Montgomery. This win improves the girls’ record to an overall 12-5 and leaves their Bay League record at 4-2.
Senior Taylor Mahr and sophomore Maegan Manasse each played large roles in the Mustang’s 15-3 win over Bishop Montgomery. Mahr won all three of her matches with scores 6-1,6-1, and 6-0. Manasse improved her personal record to 48-0 for the season, winning her matches 6-1, 6-0, and 6-0. Mahr and Manasse continue to lead the Mustang’s to big time victories.
Junior Erin Murphy returned from her lower back injury to the doubles play with sophomore Ava Klein. Murphy and Klein won all three matches by scores of 6-3,6-1, and 6-3.
The Mustangs will hit the road on Oct. 28 to challenge Peninsula at 3:00 p.m. in a Bay League showdown.
