The Mira Costa Mustangs water polo team competed in the North Orange County Tournament from Oct. 25 to Oct. 30 for the second year. Overall, the Mustangs compiled a 4-1 record in the tournament to bring their overall record to 18-7 with a Bay League record of 5-1.
The stand-out players of this South Bay tournament were Dana Tuttle and Jake Miller. Tuttle made 27 impressive saves in goal and Miller added 15 goals in five games.
The Mustangs play again on Nov. 2 against Peninsula. Costa will look to improve its record in a pivotal Bay League match between two powerhouse water polo teams.
