Mira Costa girls tennis defeated Marlborough High School 11-7 on Thursday while playing at home at Costa with a top performance by senior Amy Gaal.
Continuing a great start to their season the team played very well the whole match, with leading singles player Gaal winning all 3 of her sets against a solid Marlborough team. According to junior Maya Serota, everyone was doing their best and working hard to ensure another Costa victory.
“We all played together very well today,” Serota said. “This game was not easy but we were able to get solid matches in and come up with the win.”
Costa, now 3-0 overall, will travel and Dana Point to take on Dana Hills High School on Wednesday. According to Serota, the season is going great and is headed in the right direction.
“This was another great and exciting win against Marlborough today,” Serota said. “We are looking forward for our next matchups as the competition will be very good.”
