Mira Costa’s girls tennis defeated South Torrance High School 14-4, on Thursday at home with top performances by seniors Audrey Vo and Olga Nagy.
After losing away on Wednesday, the girls rallied back with a strong win on Thursday; with the leading players Vo and Nagy beating all three of the doubles teams. According to senior Lena Nagy, the girls played very well with very strong rallies.
“Every girl was out here competing today,” Nagy said. “We all really wanted to win and everyone of the girls played their very best and crushed it.”
Costa, now 4-1 overall, will take on Los Alamitos High School on Friday at home. According to Nagy, the next few games will be tougher so this was good practice.
“The next few games will not be as easy,” Nagy said. “This game however was a good practice as it showed us that we are a really good team and that we can compete with the best.”
