Mira Costa’s girls tennis defeated Los Alamitos High School 13-5, on Friday at home with top performances by seniors Jackie Soliman and Lena Nagy.
Coming off a strong win on Thursday, the girls continued with another win at home; with the leading players Soliman and Nagy winning all three of their doubles matches. According to senior Lena Nagy, the girls played very well at the net.
“Me and Jackie were working very well together,” Nagy said. “We crushed it at the net and played with very good chemistry throughout the day.”
Costa, now 5-1 overall, will take on West Torrance High School on Tuesday at home. According to Nagy, the team is feeling good after 2 straight wins.
“Overall the team spirit has been really good,” Nagy said. “We are looking forward to the next few games and we are going to practice really hard this next week.”
