Senior and Model UN student, Beau Staso introduces Ambassador to Argentina, Noah Mamet. Both Staso and Mamet shared an interest in diplomacy although the Model United Nations class did not exist while Mamet attended Costa.
Noah Mamet is a United States Ambassador under President Barack Obama. He spoke about how growing up in Manhattan Beach influenced his life decisions and how Mira Costa helped him grow as an intellectual. 
Senior John Wood introduces Heidi Ghent Snyder. Snyder co-founded The Color Run in 2011 and the race has grown to an international level with races in Dubai, Hong Kong, and many more.
Star of the hit show, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Rachel Bloom made a surprise appearance near the end of the assembly. She was not able to attend in person so she appeared via a previously taped video.
