This year’s Homecoming court participated in their last game today during lunch.
Couples dressed as food pairs today including Lucky Charms and milk, a hotdog and a hamburger and sushi and soy sauce. During the game, couples competed to simultaneously lick nutella off both sides of a glass sheet the fastest. Seniors Delaney Kluth and Max Taylor won.
“My favorite part of the game was getting to eat the nutella because I love nutella,” senior and Homecoming court member Junko Cohn said. “The game was hard because Michai and I have such a big height difference. I had to stand on my tippy toes to reach the glass.”
Tomorrow will be the last day of Homecoming week and there will be a pep rally after fourth period where the Homecoming court will perform a dance. Costa’s Homecoming football game will take place in Waller Stadium tomorrow night against Morningside. During halftime, the court’s video themed “The Office” will be shown and the king and queen will be announced.
“This has been one of my favorite experiences throughout high school,” senior and Homecoming court member Duke Mahr said. “I got close to so many new people this week and I had so much fun dressing up and going to rehearsals each night.”
