Costa students and staff attended the school’s annual Pep Rally today at Waller Stadium in order to raise school spirit, boost the school’s moral for the upcoming year and to encourage students to attend Costa’s Homecoming football game tonight against Morningside.
The rally began with a combined dance in which the dance and cheer teams performed. The team captains of various sports and extracurricular activities followed the performance and announced their activity’s upcoming events.
“I really love the pep rally because I get to dance with my best friends every year while boosting Costa’s spirit,” junior and dance team member Mackensie Banchik said.
Costa teachers and students who volunteered then took part in various relay games and the senior class came in first. The pep rally ended with the Homecoming court performing a dance routine.
“My favorite part of the pep rally was finally being able to do the dance that took so much practice to make,” senior and Homecoming court member Adam Enomoto said. “The choreography was hard at first but it was really enjoyable being able to make our own solos.”
