Mira Costa’s boys water polo team crushed West High School 15-1 on Thursday at home with a top performance by sophomore driver Alex Nahabed.
The Mustangs dominated possession of the ball, caused turnovers and capitalized on their chances, according to senior attacker Eric Soibelman. Costa also kept pressure on the ball and were relentless.
“We played as a team, everyone played hard, and never stopped working hard,” Soibelman said.
Costa, now 14-7 overall, will play San Clemente on the road on Saturday. According to Soibelman, the team needs to get energy flowing and work together.,
“To be successful, we need the need to get our energy pumped and need to work as a team, not individuals,” Soibelman said.
