Eighth grade students and their parents attended This is Costa, an event that took place in the Costa auditorium, where perspective students gathered more information about Costa and learned about the different programs offered as a whole.
The event began with a panel of Costa students along with Principal Dr. Ben Dale, Vice Principal Kristin Wolberg and Vice Principal Jon Shaw. After the panel spoke, a brief presentation took place in the auditorium.
“I really liked how Costa formatted the event,” eighth grader Arya Samimi said. “It was super cool to see all the principals in the beginning and meet a lot of the students for the rest of the night.”
Visiting parents and students then went to the Mustang Mall where representatives for over 50 extracurricular groups set up tables. Each group had either teacher or student representatives present to answer the visitors’ questions and provide additional information.
“It was super cool being able to see all the eighth graders last night,” junior and Model United Nations representative Liam Cook said. “They all seemed really engaged in the event and they seemed to learn a lot about some of their options for next year.”
