The Mira Costa girls volleyball team faced off against Redondo Union High for the second time this season on Nov. 4 when the Mustangs were swept by the Seahawks.
The Mustangs were defeated in three games with scores of 25-11, 25-17, and 25-14. The game took place at home in the Fisher Gym.
“We let the pressure get to us, which is understandable, but frustrating for us all,” head coach Lisa Zimmerman said.
Senior outside hitter Emma White led the team with 8 kills, 11 digs, and 2 aces. Other contributions were not enough to win the game.
The Mustangs’ next step is CIF, which will take place on Nov. 9 at 7 pm. Their opponent has not been determined yet.
