Costa students commit to taking the next step in their future.
Twenty one Mira Costa senior athletes that have committed to playing at the collegiate level were honored on Signing Day during lunch on November sixteenth in the Mustang Mall. Mustang students and parents attended the event to cheer on friends and family.
“I’m so grateful for those students and what they do,” Costa principal Dr. Ben Dale said. “They have worked their tails off and are now being rewarded for it.”
Mira Costa has been holding Signing Days for many years but not at this level with three signing days and more student athletes since it honors not just division one athletes and scholarship recipients, MBX Advisory Board President Susy Werre says.
“Anytime you put on a piece of clothing that has your school’s logo on it you are more brought into what that organization is doing,” Dr. Dale said. “I think it’s important you apply to an organization to contribute to its success and get so much out of it.”
