The Philharmonic Orchestra opened the concert, followed by the Chamber Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra. The concert included a total of six songs from the three groups.
“Because it’s the winter time, we included a sprinkle of holiday favorites, which makes this concert a very good concert for all audience members, young and old,” Orchestra Director Peter Park said. “There was a little bit of something for everyone, which made the concert more enjoyable.”
The preparation for the Winter Concert consisted of repetition and an emphasis on technique, Park said. The orchestra played professional symphonies, including pieces by Peter Warlock and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky.
