The girls’ tennis team pulled off a big win in the first round of CIF on Nov. 11 when it defeated Sunny Hills. Before CIF, the Mustangs had a record of 13-6 overall and 5-3 in Bay League.
Sophomore Maegan Manasse led the way for the Mustangs in their 15-3 win. Manasse won all three of her matches by scores of 6-1, 6-0, and 6-0. Her season record now stands at 60-0. Senior Taylor Mahr added two match wins by scores of 6-1.
The doubles pairs combined for a record of 9-0, with unbeatable tennis in the girls opening round in CIF.
The second round of CIF will be played Nov.13 against University. The time and location have yet to be announced.
